Planning a wedding across the country isn’t easy, but for Melissa and Michael, it became a true family effort. With the couple in California and Melissa’s family spread across the U.S., they needed a planner who could bring their vision to life in New York City.
Melissa’s mother became my main planning partner, and together, we set out to create a wedding that was as personal as it was unforgettable. Melissa envisioned David Beahm transforming the Rainbow Room into a spring garden— and he absolutely nailed it. Guests entered to find a floral-lined aisle leading to a chuppah that blended wild florals with the sleek, metallic elements of the Rainbow Room—creating the perfect balance of nature’s beauty with contemporary elegance.
The reception was just as incredible, with a custom floral installation above the band, and centerpieces of flowing white and blush blooms. The cake, inspired by the Swarovski crystal curtains behind it, was adorned with delicate sugar flowers, almost too pretty to eat. And as the evening unfolded, Hank Lane’s Steve Delisi band created a vibrant atmosphere.
From start to finish, this wedding was a testament to careful planning, flawless execution, and an incredible partnership. A truly unforgettable evening in the heart of New York.
